General Information

Waitlist

If all spots are taken, you can opt to be on the waitlist for a camp. As soon as a spot opens, you will be contacted, and you will have 48 hours to respond and complete registration and payment. Transfer fees will be waived in this case, and you will get a refund or pay the difference depending on the fee of the new camp. If we do not hear from you, the spot moves on to the next person on the list. You will only be contacted should a spot open.

Camp Boulevard has put in place Standards of Behaviour that all campers are expected to follow. The Camp Directors reserves the right to dismiss a camper who, in their opinion, is a hazard to the safety or rights of others, or who appears to have rejected the reasonable expectations of the camp as set by the Standards of Behaviour.

Refunds or credits are not available if a camper is dismissed from the Camp program.

Behaviour Management Policy

We believe that positive camp experiences strengthen and build each child’s self-esteem. Program Leaders are dedicated to providing your child with a creative and innovative program that will pique their interest and keep them enthused. We have fun, play fairly, and show respect for others and ourselves. The guidelines for program participation will be clearly outlined to campers.

Behaviour
Guidelines

It is the goal of Camp Boulevard to provide a healthy, safe, secure, and respectful environment for all campers and staff. All campers are expected to follow the behaviours guidelines and interact appropriately in a group setting. Please read and review the following Behaviour Guidelines and Program Rules with your child(ren). Your co-operation is greatly appreciated, and will help provide a safe, fun, and respectful environment for all campers and staff.

SUMMER CAMP BEHAVIOUR GUIDELINES AND PROGRAM RULES

  • Campers are expected to participate in camp activities, follow the directions of the camp staff and always stay with their camp group.

  • Campers are responsible for their actions.

  • Campers must be respectful, honest and considerate of other campers, staff and volunteers.

  • Campers must be respectful of Camp Boulevard property, property of other campers or staff. If a child does not follow the behaviour guidelines, the camp staff will take the following steps:

  • Counsellors will redirect the child to more appropriate behaviour.

  • The child will be reminded of the behavior guidelines and program rules.

  • If the behaviour persists, a parent will be notified of the problem by the Camp Director and the incident will be documented including what the behaviour problem is, what provoked the problem and the corrective action taken.

  • If the child’s behaviour at any time threatens the immediate safety of themselves, other campers or staff, the parent may be notified immediately and may be required to pick up their child.

We incur a cost of $50 for every cheque that is returned by the bank because of insufficient funds. Please note that if your cheque is returned to us by the bank because of insufficient funds, a $50 service charge will be added to your family account.

Independent Travel

Independent Travel is open to campers aged 12 and older or campers under 12 if accompanied by a sibling 12 or older. Camp Boulevard requires an email from the parent to give consent that their child can leave camp on their own. Campers can sign in between 8:30am and 9:00 am daily in the Camp Tent and Boathouse (Sailing/Paddling Camps)

Independent Travel campers cannot leave their camp location until their camp Counsellour dismisses them. Camp Boulevard Camp Staff are not responsible for the whereabouts of your camper(s) after 4:00 pm. If you would like your camper to leave camp early, please send a request via email to the Camps office.

Everyone picking up a camper(s) from our camp programs will be required to show photo ID every time they pick up a child/children.

Photo ID allows staff to ensure that campers are only released into the care of their parent/guardian or into the care of an individual designated by the parent or guardian. Please ensure that all people listed on your authorized pick-up list are aware of this requirement.

Children must be signed in and out by their approved escort each day. With your permission, child/children (12 years of age and older) can sign themselves in and out of camp.

You can update the authorized pick-up list by contacting the Camps Office.
